Sarah Hoffmann e2329c03fe Revert "increase splitting for large geometries" ...

This reverts commit 559fe513fa.

Increasing the splitting results in geometries where with rounding
issues at the split points, so that contain operations do not
work as expected anymore.

Fixes #2137.
